MANAGEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION. To improve information on artisanal fisheries by identifying the existing information, by using the new information and communication technologies in the acquisition of fishing data and by developing tools for data storage and data analysis.

MANAGEMENT MODELS. To develop and/or apply transnational management models that integrate and interrelate a set of indicators (regulatory, environmental, economic, social, technological and biological) in order to contribute for the sustainability of artisanal fisheries in the Atlantic Area.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION. To strengthen the economic and social structure of the fishing communities of the Atlantic Area, by identifying lines of diversification of its activities and refocus their skills to alternative and/or complementary activities to fishing.
