Curriculum

I was born in Oviedo (Asturias) and I am a biologist and the head of CEP at the Asturias Fisheries Department of the Regional Administration of the Principality of Asturias. In 1986, I completed a BSc in Biology at the University of Oviedo (Asturias) and undertook my PhD at the same University, in the Genetics Department, where I complete my PhD in 1995. In 1989 I start working for the Principality of Asturias as biologist in CEP, in the Fisheries Department and from 1995 on I became the head of CEP. Currently, I'm responsible for the coordination of the projects developed in the tree departments of CEP (fisheries, aquaculture and seaweed) and I collaborate in the monitoring and management of in-shore fisheries in Asturias with the regional Administrators.
