AGLIA participated in the Workshop "Capitalisation des Démarches du Pescatourisme"

The Association Marco Polo organized in Marseille a workshop on fish-tourism to make a first assessment of the diversification experiments that have been performed on the French coast since the publication of the circular of July 2007. In this workshop the results of a French pilot project “Var – Mediterranean” on fish-tourism were presented. This project was inspired by the Italian experience initiated in 1998 to diversify the activity of artisanal fishing vessels fishing. This workshop brought together representatives of different stakeholders (CNPMEM, CRPMEM, CLPMEM, DRAM, MMSD, Regional Council, General Council, Associations (Aglia, Marco Polo EA) “Prud'homies”, fishermen and tourist offices) which allowed an ample debate on the development of fish-tourism in France, in the current context. At the end of this conference it was created a national working group on fish-tourism.
