BackCETMAR participated in the Conference "Territorial Cooperation in the New Atlantic Area: Future Challenges"
In the framework of OPEN DAYS - local event, the Diputación A Coruña, with Committee of Regions support, organized a Conference under the theme Territorial Cooperation in the New Atlantic Area: Future Challenges that was held in A Coruña on the 16th of October. CETMAR participated in this event where presented an oral communication on diversification in small-scale fisheries, especially in the framework of Maritime Economy and the named “Fishing tourism”. Among the projects divulged, CETMAR presented the aims of the PRESPO project as well as the activities that are being developed by the Diversification working group: Design of a socioeconomic model of diversification; to identify the ongoing diversification initiatives in European small scale fisheries; and to identify the common problems that have to solved in order to implement diversification initiatives in small-scale fisheries along the Atlantic Area.
